Rick has been an employee of, and invaluable contributor to, Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. since 1979. Immediately following his graduation from high school, he worked for us as an apprentice and moved his way up the ranks. In 1975, Rick received his journeyman’s license and then completed apprentice school in 1977. He also has an additional certification as a backflow technician, allowing him to take on a greater range of jobs and responsibilities with his specialized training.
He was hired full-time at Douglas Orr Plumbing in 1979 and he proved to be a skilled negotiator and project manager for repair work and new construction jobs. In the following years, he received his Dade County Public School educator’s certificate and backflow instructor license, along with his State of Florida Plumbing Contractor’s license.
Over the years that he’s been with our company, Rick has developed a stellar reputation in the community and garnered the respect of South Florida’s most prominent general contractors and developers. He is an invaluable asset to our company, as he provides us with excellent leadership and unique insight gained from his extensive plumbing experience.
