Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. has been a member of Local Union 519 since its inception.

This enables the hiring of educated and trained employees who have spent hundreds of hours of training. The plumbing apprenticeship is a five-year program that teaches all of its members the ins and outs of plumbing systems. Many of Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. key employees have been or are still instructors at the training facility.

In 2004, Local Union 519 renamed it training facility to the Douglas Orr Training Facility. This is due to the impact that Doug Orr and Douglas Orr plumbing has had while training the best plumbers and apprentices in South Florida especially within the Miami, Ft Lauderdale and Palm Beach area.
