From it's beginnings as a one man shop working out of Doug's garage in 1974, Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. has grown into one of the largest plumbing companies in South Florida. The core of the company is a staff built of long lasting employees consisting of estimators/project managers, a service and construction department, material handler drivers, purchasing agents, a general superintendent and a team of highly educated and experienced employees.

Employing members of Plumber's Local Union 519, and swelling at times to as many as 200 employees, Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. believes it has the highest qualified general foremen to run the new construction projects and a service repair force that is unequal.

Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. has built a core of highly skilled employees through its commitment to professionalism and excellence. Many of the company's finest employees have been employed for over ten years and most of the top foremen and project managers started with the company as apprentices. Within the first 35 years of business, Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. has completed over 9,500 jobs throughout South Florida ranging from small residential housing to large hi-rise condos. In 1996, Plumbing Mechanical magazine did a follow up article featuring Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. from a 1984 article that was titled "How a Union Firm Copes in a Non-Union Town". As time has proven, Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. is built to last.

Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. separates their work into three different categories: service repair, small to medium construction projects (ranging up to $500,000), and large construction projects ($500,000 and higher).
