Chris Behrens graduated from FIU in 1987 with a degree in Computer Science. Doug hired Chris in 1987 as a way to introduce Orr Plumbing to the computer age. Chris has been instrumental in keeping Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. a step above the rest in regards to computer technology by creating and maintaining custom software applications for one of South Florida’s largest plumbing companies. He has transformed Orr Plumbing from a manual office accounting system to a fully automated system which now supports a transaction volume in excess of $20 million annually which integrates all office / information processing tasks. Chris is also the CFO for the company and became the Vice-President and part owner in 2004. In addition to Chris’ responsibilities at Orr Plumbing he is also a Captain with the City of Miami Beach Fire Department where he has been employed since 1987.
Chris is married to Doug’s daughter Liz and resides in Weston, FL. They have a son Christian and daughter Jordan who are both attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
