Each job is taken-off foot by foot, fitting by fitting and fixture by fixture. This is the only way to provide a fair and accurate price, which every customer deserves. When Douglas Orr Plumbing, Inc. is awarded a job, the estimator hands his file over to the support staff where submittals are made, permits are pulled and the complete job file is constructed for the use of the plumber and the general superintendent. Then, a job foreman is selected with overseeing responsibility relative to the scheduling and performance for the job. As the foreman completes each phase of the work, he has the responsibility of calling in inspection requests. As inevitable changes are made in a project, they are handled in one of two ways. The superintendent is contacted for approval to proceed with minor changes that are authorized in advance by the contractor, performed and billed on a time and material basis.

For larger changes, the general contractor will forward information to the original job estimator, who will provide a change order proposal.
